The theme for the February Dapper Dog Box is “All you Need is Love”. We love this theme and certainly think it’s appropriate since it is February and well, the country could use a little love right now with all that is going on.
The toys in the February Dapper Dog Box are:
Pet Qwerks Chevron Bear Toy – (retail value $5.99) This little bear is a great size for Bruce Wayne, as it measures about 5 inches tall. It houses two squeakers; one in the head and one in the body of the bear. Bruce Wayne tends to gravitate to toys with more hair/fur to try and pull out, but I’m hoping this one will become a snuggle buddy for Bruce Wayne.
The treats in the February Dapper Dog Box are:
Puppy Cake Ice Cream – (retail value $6.99) The flavor we received is vanilla. Bruce Wayne has never had this puppy ice cream, however, we have seen it all over Instagram. All of our friends seem to enjoy it very much. Curious how it works? So was I. After reading the directions, it seems super easy. All you have to do is add hot water, stir and freeze. I will hold onto this until it gets a little warmer out as a cold treat for Bruce Wayne.
Down Dog Snacks Appleberry Zensation Treats – (retail value $10.00 for 8oz.) This is a full-sized treat bag that is filled to the top! 🙂 In case you are a little confused by the name, the flavor we received is apple and blueberry. I do love that the treats are wheat, soy, dairy, corn and sugar free, however, I am on the fence about potato starch. Again, this is just me being an overly concerned dog Mom.
Below is Bruce Wayne’s “Tricks for Treats” video. 😉 As you can see, we have been working on “down”, “sit” and “up”. As long as yummy treats are involved, Bruce Wayne will reluctantly do a few tricks.
Barkworthies Beef Trachea – (retail value @2.99 for 6 inches) This chew couldn’t be any more simple. It is literally just a 6 inch beef trachea. It is great all natural treat for chewers. I know Bruce Wayne would absolutely love this, however, I have to keep it for a Closet Cleanout as Bruce Wayne hasn’t been cleared for these chews post-tonsillectomy yet.
The extra/accessory in the February Dapper Dog Box is:
Duke and Duchess Pets Boutique Bowtie – (retail value 16.00) This bowtie comes in it’s only adorable box and certainly wins on presentation. The bowtie itself is red and white polkadotted. It is the perfect fashion accessory for February. I love the size for Bruce Wayne. It may look a little big, but Bruce Wayne gets really fluffy so I appreciate the larger bow ties, as his fluff tends to hide his fashion accessories.
Estimated Value of the February Dapper Dog Box – $41.97
Overall Opinion: Love was certainly in the air with this month’s Dapper Dog Box! All the treats included are something that I can envision many dogs loving. Even though Bruce Wayne can’t enjoy each of the treats, I know whoever we pass it on to will absolutely love it! The toy is such a great size for Bruce Wayne and I was excited to see something other than your typical heart shaped toy included. I love that The Dapper Dog Box includes items that you usually don’t see in subscription boxes. The bowtie is adorable and will surely be a hit with our fellow dog friends.
B-DUBS VERDICT: Bruce Wayne gives the February Dapper Dog Box 3 out of 4 grinchy paws!
