As many of you know, I feed Bruce Wayne better than I feed myself. For the longest time, I was making his raw meals. It was time consuming, expensive and hard to travel with, but it always gave me peace of mind that Bruce Wayne was eating healthy. That all changed after one of our trips. I couldn’t bring my traditional raw food with us, so I purchased some Stella & Chewy’s freeze-dried raw. After that, Bruce Wayne was hooked. Once we got home, I tried giving him his traditional raw again, but nope, he wanted the Stella & Chewy’s Absolute Rabbit Patties. Since I like to keep his meal times stress free and Stella & Chewy’s is a fantastic raw brand, I decided to keep feeding him what I knew he liked and would eat.
I know that for many, freeze-dried can be costly and timely. There are many dog parents that do not want to give up their beloved kibble. Trust me, I understand. My mother is one of those dog parents, which is why I was so excited to hear that Stella & Chewy’s introduced a raw coated kibble to their line. I know, some traditional raw enthusiasts might be going frantic because the point of raw is to be fresh and not processed. However, my goal has always been to get pet parents to feed the best, least damaging food to your dog that you can possibly feed. Rome wasn’t built in a day and some pet parents just don’t want to make the switch. Not everyone can or wants to feed a traditional raw diet, so why not give them the best thing possible version of kibble. This is also a great stepping stone from traditional kibble to raw.
Variety is key!
If your dog is anything like Bruce Wayne, he/she gets bored with their food quickly. I am constantly rotating proteins to keep Bruce Wayne interested in his meals, which is why the Stella & Chewy’s raw coated kibble is a great choice for picky kibble eaters. Not only did they produce a healthy, minimally processed kibble, but they are producing a variety of proteins: grass-fed beef, cage free chicken, and wild-caught whitefish. Since Bruce Wayne is a small dog, I was very happy to see that Stella & Chewy’s is also offering a small breed cage free chicken. The difference in the small breed kibble is that the pieces are smaller, making it easier for your small dog to chew. While I still feed Bruce Wayne his freeze-dried raw patties, these small kibble bites make for a great treat. I often use them to get Bruce Wayne’s infamous ears up during photoshoot time.
Where are all my devoted kibble fans at?! Are you interested in trying the Stella & Chewy’s raw coated kibble? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Stella & Chewy’s is currently hosting their #AKibbleAbove contest. Stella & Chewy’s wants to see how you, the pet parent, goes above and beyond for your dog. No deed is too small. For instance, I went from carrying nothing less than leather designer purses to a handmade cotton fabric tote. I was a purse snob. But, when Bruce Wayne came into my life, I quickly realized, I needed a bag to carry his items, i.e. poop bags, wipes, harness and leash, etc. I traded in my Michael Kors for a Batman tote. Yes, indeed, this was a small gesture, but you can easily see how my mindset changed once I became a pet parent.
There will be a total of 6 winners, with 1st place winning an entire YEAR’S supply of Stella & Chewy’s raw coated kibble AND a custom illustration of your dog! 5 runners up will receive a 6 month supply of raw coated kibble!
