The time has come to formally introduce you to our fabulous Bruce Wayne ViaGen Pets puppy clones! We thank you for your patience, we’ve had so many questions about their names and honestly wanted to have this post up earlier, however, I’ve been battling a horrible sinus infection.
I had their names picked out before I even picked up the puppies. And truth be told, we weren’t sure was going to be who, but the names could not have worked any better to match their personalities! We decided who was who the first day we met them. We didn’t really have much to go in terms of deciding which pup would be named what, but we did receive some insightful information from their ViaGen Pets team caretaker, Emily. As I introduce you to each puppy below, you’ll see why their names have turned out to be a perfect fit.
Introducing Tony Stark!
This is the first name I had picked out. If Bruce Wayne was going to have a cloned brother, he would have to be a fellow billionaire, playboy bachelor! 😉 And, who doesn’t love the Ironman Marvel series. With all the amazing Marvel movies coming out, I wanted to be able to tap into the Marvel side of things as well.
You’ll be able to easily tell Tony Stark from The Others, as Tony Stark will always be wearing a gold collar. When he arrived, he had a red dot on his little belly to signal to the ViaGen Pets team which one he was. He also has the most black on his little face and currently, his left ear is still floppy.
In true Ironman nature, Tony Stark can and will find any wire in the house and try to build who knows what. The second night after they came home, I heard some tussling under the bed. Sure enough, it was Tony Stark trying to dismantle the metal bed post! LOL!
Introducing Clark Kent!
Clark Kent was the second name I had picked out. If you’ve been following our Instagram account, you know that we’ve always teased, picked on and sometimes tortured Clark Kent. But, once I knew that I would at least be getting two Bruce Wayne clones, I knew that I’d have to have a Superman. I wanted to stay loyal to the DC Comics Universe and let’s be honest, everyone knows who Superman is so finding props, costumes, etc. would be easy.
Clark Kent will always be in the blue collar and had a blue dot on his belly when he came home. Clark Kent is the biggest pup of the pack and he represents Superman’s strength well. He is constantly bulldozing into his brothers to remind them who the big boy is! 😉 I also decided that this pup would be Clark Kent, as he has the sweet, boy scout look of Clark Kent.
In my opinion, Clark Kent resembles puppy Bruce Wayne the most. While they, of course, all look like Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent has a certain sparkle in his little eyes that are exactly the same look I saw in Bruce Wayne when he was a young pup. It’s hard to explain, but below (left side) is one of the first photos taken of Bruce Wayne next to Clark Kent. And, since Clark Kent, in my opinion, is most like puppy Bruce Wayne, it has certainly made me warm up to liking Superman much more! ;-P
Introducing Peter Parker!
Just as the others, this was the third name I knew I wanted to name one of the pups if there was going to be 3 pups. While I’m not a huge “spidey” fan, I know that most of the world is and if you’re going to have a superhero squad, you have to have a Spiderman. I decided that this pup would be Peter Parker, as he is the smallest and youngest looking pup of the pack. As many of you may know, Peter Parker is the youngest of The Avengers, so the name was perfect for this tiny pup.
Peter Parker will always be in a red collar and was the only pup to not have a color on his belly when he came home. While Peter Parker may be the smallest, that doesn’t stop him from living up to his Spiderman alter ego! No joke, this little pup can and will climb up any obstacle in his way. He has climbed up and over most of the boxes I use to try and keep him contained. He has made his way past these boxes to get behind the couch, behind the television and any other space that he’s not supposed to be roaming in.
Introducing Wade Wilson!
This was the last name I decided on and it went back and forth about this pup’s name for a few weeks. Possible names were going to be: Steve Rodgers, Frank Castle or Mussina (after my all-time favorite athlete, Mike Mussina). Ultimately, the trailers for Deadpool 2 started coming out and I knew that Wade Wilson was the name I wanted. Not only is it more recognizable now (thank you Ryan Reynolds), but I was told by the ViaGen Pets team that this pup was a bit of a “instigator/troublemaker”. Ultimately, it worked out well, as I already had 1 goody goody two shoes in Clark Kent and didn’t want another in Steve Rodgers. That doesn’t make for fun content. 😉
Wade Wilson will always be in the black color and coincidentally enough, he came home with a black mark on his belly. Just as “The Others” fit their name, Wade Wilson completely fits this pup. As some of you may know, Deadpool’s character is often referred to as “The Merc With a Mouth” because in the comics he is extremely talkative and often breaks the “fourth wall” aka he talks directly to the audience. This holds true with my Wade Wilson too. He loves to “talk” aka whine. He’s always chatting up a storm just to get your love and attention.
For all you Disney fans out there, take a look at the marking on Wade Wilson’s right side of his body! At first, it looked like a heart, which was fitting as there are so many Deadpool images of Wade Wilson making a heart with his hands.
However, as Wade Wilson grows, it looks more and more like Mickey Mouse! And, being that Deadpool’s movie rights were recently acquired by Disney, it makes perfect sense as to why he has Mickey Mouse on his body! 😉
The puppies haven’t even been home for a full week yet, but it feels like they’ve been here for many weeks. 🙂 They are starting to get into a routine and have their first Veterinarian visit coming up this week. Be sure to check back in a few days to see how their first week home has been and what we will be up to next!
