The Bruce Wayne ViaGen Pets clones are now 13 weeks old (3 months) and have been home for about 4 weeks. Originally, I was going to put together a blog post after their first week home, however, I felt that waiting to post would give me better descriptions of their little, yet big personalities.
For the first 3 days, Bruce Wayne wanted nothing to do with the puppy clones, whom we call “The Others” around here! 😉 He would ignore them at all costs. He would even go into a separate room to get away from The Others. To some, this might not have been a big deal, but being that Bruce Wayne is attached to my hip, I knew he was really upset. To help ease the transition, I gave give him his personal space, but would spend extra quality time with just him. I wanted Bruce Wayne to know that no matter who enters our life, he will always be “the love of my life”. (Yes, that is how I refer to him and that’s his folder name on my laptop for all the thousands of photos I have of him.)
During the 3-5 days after The Others had been home, Bruce Wayne began to slowly warm up to the idea of The Others not leaving. He would come into the same room and even sit on the floor with us all, but he still would not interact with them.
After about a week, Bruce Wayne actually played with The Others. I was so happy, as a lot of people who have previously brought puppies into their home said that their dog took up to a month to warm up to the new puppy. And, being that Bruce Wayne does not like other dogs, I really thought it was going to be a long process.
Ever since that first play session, Bruce Wayne has been playing with them since. In Bruce Wayne’s entire life, I have never seen Bruce Wayne so energetic, active and happy. He has actually been getting up in the mornings at 6:00 a.m. to play with The Others. And, this is a dog who usually sleeps until 10:00 – 11:00 am consistently.
Tony Stark Update!
If you read my naming blog post, you know that each puppies name seems to work perfectly with their personality, which was totally unplanned.
Tony Stark is truly my Ironman engineer. If there is a wire in the room, he will find it and try to chew on it. Any toys with strings or anything that resembles a wire is always Tony Stark’s toy of choice. The other night I actually found Tony Stark with my Batman wristlet that he had dismantled. He somehow pulled the off the lanyard portion that clips onto the wallet portion. I jokingly say that Tony Stark is collecting parts to create his Ironman suit, as Tony Stark did in Ironman 1!
Clark Kent Update!
Clark Kent is my jealous little monster! 🙂 If he sees another pup getting attention, he wants attention. If he sees Bruce Wayne playing with a toy, he wants that toy. That being said, he is also the most like Bruce Wayne personality and looks wise in my opinion. While, they are all alike, Clark Kent’s qualities really hit home with how Bruce Wayne is. While I’m not so sure that Bruce Wayne is “jealous”, he is used to being the only dog, so he never shared well with others.
Clark Kent has the sweetest eyes and I would say is the most expressive of the pack with his adorable facial expressions. I can almost always tell what he wants or is thinking just by looking at his face.
Peter Parker Update!
My little Spidey is climbing and jumping more than ever. Even though he is the smaller pup in the pack, he continues to grow stronger and everyday it seems like he is jumping even higher. While Peter Parker may be the smaller pup, he is always the first to the food bowl.
I like to call Peter Parker my little golden boy, as even though he’s the smallest in our pack, he often leads the pack. He was the first of all the pups to use a pee pad correctly and has only missed the pee pad once or twice since coming home. Peter Parker seems to soak everything in and picks up on a routine and words quickly. I believe that Peter Parker was the first puppy to learn and respond to his name.
Wade Wilson Update!
Wade Wilson is the only pup that hasn’t changed much. He’s still the most talkative and certainly the instigator in the group. I’ve come to learn that he is a complete sweetheart in the morning, but once the sun goes down, he’s out for blood! He absolutely loves to attack your feet and is in full teething mode.
We often joke that Wade Wilson has “anger management” issues. If he’s napping and one of The Others accidentally bump into him, he quickly snaps, but never actually hurts any of the puppies. What’s funny though is that Wade Wilson is secretly a momma’s boy. He always is the first to nap on my lap and often follows me around the room.

I am a devout believer in fact that new dog siblings provide a “new lease on life” to an older dog. There is so much advice on the internet on how to acclimate a new pup (or pups,) to an older dog. But having done this twice, and always with unneutered males (who can be more aggressive) the solution is so simple. I completely agree with you. All your exisiting dog wants to know is whether he is being replaced in your affections. Best solution, especially when new puppies are young, is indeed showing preferential treatment to the exisiting dog. It makes them feel secure and open to exploring a relationship with the new pups! As new puppies mature, this preferential treatment would obviously hurt their feelings, so it is so important to do it in the first few days, and then when they all get along you feel more relaxed about loving them all equally! Watching Bruce play with his mini-me’s is one of the sweetest things I have had the pleasure of watching on your account.
Thank you so much for checking out our post, Anisha, Luigi and Baby G! You gave me some of the best advice on how to acclimate Bruce Wayne properly! I thank you so much for your advice and friendship! We love watching Luigi and Baby G’s antics and can’t wait to meet you one day soon.
