Now more than ever, with the arrival of the puppies, whom I call “The Others”, I have been loving candles! Mainly, it’s a great way to combat foul puppy poo smells, but being that Bruce Wayne and The Others are pee pad trained, there can often be a unpleasant lingering urine smell as well.
For years, I grew up believing that Yankee Candles were the ultimate, go to candle. They are often the candle of choice for many, including my mother, so when I started buying my own candles, I naturally bought Yankee Candles. About two years ago, I received my first One Fur All candle in a subscription box. I had never heard of One Fur All, but when I opened the lid and gave it a whiff, it smelled great. In fact, it smelled just as good as my Yankee Candles.

That’s where the similarities came to an end. The main difference is the smell when you light the candle. Sure, when you open the lid, it does match the smell of a Yankee Candle, but when you light the candle, it by far surpasses the smell of a Yankee Candle. These One Fur All candles are designed to combat pet odors and that they do! To be clear, it’s not an overpowering smell, but it certainly makes a difference in our room. And with One Fur All offering twenty-seven or more scents at any given time, there are many choices for you to choose from.

The next difference that One Fur All candles offer that is the most important to me is that they are natural, dye-free candles! Look to be honest, for myself, I don’t really care about that stuff as much as I should. However, when it comes to products that could potentially affect my dogs, it becomes a major concern of mine! These candles are made from a soy wax and contain NO paraffin/petroleum by-products, non toxic and allergen free. Now, the chances of my dogs actually getting to and eating a candle are slim to none, but if I’m going to have something burning in air that they breathe, I want the most natural option available to me while still combating their pet odor smells.
Finally, another difference that has a huge impact is that One Fur All gives back to non-profit, no kill dog rescues through various efforts. You won’t find any other candle company doing that for our dog community. So if you’re going to buy a candle, why not support a company that supports a great cause?!
This product review post is not sponsored or endorsed in any way. I just realized the other day that I found myself lighting my One Fur All candles over my other candles and wanted to share with my fellow pet parents. Not only do I use these candles to get rid of the unpleasant smells, but being that it’s winter, candles are a cheap and easy way to warm up a room without raising the heat bill. Being that The Others are still only a few pounds, I try to keep the room warm and toasty for them. And for all my DIY friends out there, once you are done with your candle, you can clean out the jar and reuse it as a treat or craft holder. Honestly, with their burning power of 70+ hours and my rotating the various scents I burn in any given day, I have yet to completely burn an entire jar.

If you have any One Fur All candles, let me know what your favorite scent is. I’ll be shopping for some spring time scents soon and always love hearing recommendations!
